As the emu eats the quandong fruit and travels across Country, it spreads the seeds, allowing new trees to grow. In return, the quandong continues to provide food and shelter for generations to come.

This reminds us that what we give today can create new opportunities for tomorrow. Like the emu, we all leave something behind for those who follow.

The river knows. So do you.

When water stops flowing, it becomes stagnant. When we continue to move, we create space for healing, growth and new beginnings. The flowing pathways in this artwork represent life's journey, encouraging us to refresh our spirit, have courage, reconnect with ourselves, Culture and Country, and trust that every path has its purpose. I was blessed with a reminder to keep flowing, regardless of the blockages and I hope this piece helps inspire someone else not to give up.
